Time Flies...

Holy Cow!

I had a quick look at the blog and realised I haven't posted anything in over a year!

Yes, the site is still up as you can see and I'm happy to see that it is still growing. A big welcome to Stamp Francisco. They've been around forever. If you're tired of cute bunnies and frogs then do drop by their website to be inspired :)

Also new to RubberStampAds is Expressions in Ink from Virginia. They have cool stamps called Block Groups, the end results are amazing. See how it's done by clicking HERE.

Happy Stamping!

Growing Pains

This past weekend the website was moved to a bigger server due to the traffic.

The free section was wiped clean so those with ads in that section please place your ads again beginning Monday, 4 December 2007. I apologize for the inconvenience.

This new server will be able to cope with traffic for the next several years.

Happy holidays and best wishes for 2007 !

3 Pieces Of Good News

First, we''ve just reached 300 ads placed on the website! Thanks so much for your participation.

Secondly, traffic continues to climb. Over 1200 UNIQUE visitors in June. Please keep spreading the news!

Lastly, a cool new function has been added. It''s called the "mouse-over tooltip". This feature shows a bigger image whenever the mouse hovers over an ad. See the photo below. Before it was difficult to see Maggie clearly but now we can see her wonderful smile :)

If you''ve previously submitted an ad & would like to use this function, just email me a bigger image along with your domain name and I''ll make the change for you (Premium and Value sections only).

Best wishes for the summer,

Carleton

Why am I doing this?

I was recently asked by the editor of a stamping magazine why I started this website and what my goals are. That''s a great question.

I first heard of the original million pixel site in the autumn of 2005 and really liked the concept. I thought it would be a lot of fun to do one just for rubber stamping and finally had time to set it up in February 2006. The response has been fantastic! So am I doing this just for the money? Who couldn''t use a bit more cash?! Thankfully I make a decent living with my main company, Bunch Of Fun Rubber Stamps which has been making art rubber stamps since 1999 so money is not the primary reason. I plan to keep the website operating at least until March 2010. I think that as it fills up it will take on aspects of what makes quilting so popular, the mosaic created.

Each visitor will see a snapshot of the rubber stamping industry. Manufacturers, stamping clubs and personal websites of all sizes and art styles are represented on one page. To me this is what is so fascinating about this concept.

Website Update

Well the website has been up for about a week and the response has been great!

A big thank you to everyone who has posted their logos.

It''s starting to look really cool with all the different stamp companies/organizations on the main page. Don''t forget to let your friends know about this website!
